Godfrey Barnsley papers, 1834-1870.

The collection consists of papers of Godfrey Barnsley of Savannah, Georgia from 1834-1870. The papers include printed bulletins pertaining to shipping and the import and export of commodities, especially cotton, in Augusta and Savannah (Ga.), Mobile (Ala.), Charleston (S.C.), and New Orleans (La.). Several of the bulletins contain letters to Godfrey Barnsley regarding crop production, cotton trade, and local news of Savannah or Macon.
